Blind Date with a Book is Back!

Blind Date with a Book DisplayThe reading scene is complicated...

So full of choice, and yet sometimes it seems impossible to find a book worth committing to.

This February, why not let the library help? We've brought back last year's popular Blind Date with a Book display, and we've filled it with a variety of books we think could be great matches. All you have to do is make the first move.

This year, as added encouragement, we're giving you blind daters the chance to enjoy a romantic meal at a nearby restaurant--courtesy of a $25 gift certificate generously provided by the Friends of the Georgetown Library.

To enter to win, all you have to do is:
1. Come in and select one of the wrapped books on display.
2. Read at least 50 pages of your selection.
3. Fill out and return the provided Rate the Date slip -- or email your answers to julia.strusienski@dc.gov -- by March 1.

We will be randomly selecting the gift certificate winner at the end of the month. Please only one entry per person.

And best of wishes for a literary love connection!
