Thinking about and planning for transition to adulthood should start as early as possible. Youth and families are encouraged to use secondary school experiences and supports to learn about preferences and areas of strengths. The goal of this session will be to empower the student and family with the skills necessary to advocate for the resources necessary to build the future for the student to have a quality life.
Presented by Mathew Bogin, Esq., Law Office of Matthew Bogin, and Sharmon Word Dennis, Global Enrichment Solutions, LLC., and made possible by the HSC Foundation and the Mitsubichi Electric American Foundation.
The next program in the Special Needs Information Series, "Supported Decision Making and Other Alternatives to Guardianship," is on Tuesday, March 25 at 6 p.m.
