STEAM Team: The Tooth, and Nothing But the Tooth

The Tooth BookEvery Friday, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library Children's Room hosts a STEAM Team program for children aged 6-12 at 4 p.m.  STEAM is a framework for learning based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Did you know that your teeth are the hardest part of your body, harder than your bones?

Did you know that the first toothbrush was invented in China in 1498?

Did you know that just one elephant's tooth can weigh six pounds and be over a foot long?

Come join us on
Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. in the Children's Room (Room 200) to learn more about teeth and create a fun souvenir to take home.

No registration is required.  Please call us at 202-727-1248 if you have any questions!
