'Heaven' by Angela Johnson

Heaven book coverHeaven is the story of a 14-year-old girl whose life is turned up side down when she learns a family secret from her Uncle Jack. Marley has lived in the town of Heaven, Ohio with her family since she was two years old. How will she cope with the family secret in her otherwise happy life? Heaven explores what it means to feel at home and to be a family. Heaven was awarded the Coretta Scott King Author Award in 1998.

At 150 pages, there is still time to read Heaven before our Teen Book Club next week. All teens and children (ages 18 and under) are welcome to come discuss Heaven on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. immediately following Teen Advisory Group. We will be meeting in the room on the first floor.
