What You Can Do Without An Attorney
Published on Thursday, March 13, 2014 - 9:20am
Many people do not hire lawyers because they are unable to afford them or believe that their situation is a simple one. If you are a District resident with an interest in the areas of landlord-tenant, trust and estates (wills) and bankruptcy law, there are informational sessions available for you!
Local attorney Lesie O. Perry will provide basic information designed to assist self-help individuals. Presentations will be targeted at free online resources, free legal services, selection of appropriate legal forms and how to complete them.
Mr. Perry earned his bachelor's degree in sociology and anthropology from Colgate University and his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law. He is a member of the bar in the District of Columbia and holds memberships in the Maryland and District of Columbia's Federal District Bankruptcy Courts. A trained mediator, Mr. Perry volunteers in this capacity with the Prince George's County (Maryland) Office of Community Relations.
Be sure to join us on Thursdays, March 20 through April 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
