Summer Reading with the Georgetown Book Club
Published on Monday, March 24, 2014 - 10:50am
While it may not quite feel like it outside, summer is right around the corner, and that means it's almost time for summer reading! Just like last year, adults will get the chance to participate in the DC Public Library's official Summer Reading for Adults program, and the Georgetown Book Club will be joining the fun by discussing a classic novel at our June meeting -- but which one?
Take a look at Go Tell it on the Mountain by James Baldwin, The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, The Sound at the Fury by William Faulkner, and The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway, and then be sure to vote in the poll below by 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 30. The winner will be announced in early April and will be the Georgetown Book Club's June selection!
The summer reading poll is now closed, and the winner is The House of Mirth. Thank you to everyone who voted, and be sure to check back for more details about summer reading and the Georgetown Book Club's June meeting!
