PJ's in the Library
Published on Thursday, May 1, 2014 - 9:25am
My name is Phooka and I'm a stuffed rabbit. Could you tell? I think it's my ears that always gives it away. Ever since my best friend started working at the library, I've been lonely.
She promised me that I could come to the library, but so far I haven't had a chance to go. But I'm really excited because she's finally bringing me and I know I'm going to make a lot of new friends. Maybe you can come, too?
If you’ve got PJ’s (everyone has those, right?) and a special stuffed animal friend, then join us for an evening at the library. We’ll tell stories, have music and enjoy a treat or two. Some come, get cozy and enjoy a book or two -- it won’t be as fun without you!
Kick off the summer with a fun-filled night at the library on Tuesday, May 20 at 6 p.m. For all ages.
Did you know that books make great buddies, too?
My friend loved these books when she was growing up. Maybe you'll enjoy them as well?
Or maybe you could even listen to a classic story with a buddy of your own; this is a great video for everyone to listen to:
- Goodnight Moon and Other Sleepytime Tales, produced & directed by Amy Schatz
But of course this is my favorite book of all time; give it a try!
- The Velveteen Rabbit or How Toys Become Real by Margery Williams Bianco
