Wednesday, April 9, 2014, 7 p.m.

hundred thousand kingdoms coverFor the April meetup of MLK's Science Fiction and Fantasy book club, we'll be discussing the final chapters of The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, by N. K. Jemisin.

When Yeine Darr is summoned to the kingdom of Sky, seat of the Arameri ruling family, she carries with her the mystery of her mother's murder. Within hours of being presented to her grandfather, she is thrust into competition with two heirs to the throne. She is also welcomed by "Naha" -- the Arameri family's genderfluid slave -- who has access to memories of her past that she does not.

This will be our second and final meetup devoted to this book! Discussion will take place in the MLK Popular Library.
