Asian-American History Month After-School Crafts
Every Monday afternoon in May (sans Memorial Day), we will be exploring different Asian cultures through various craft activities.
May 5 is Children's Day in Japan, and to celebrate we will be making koinobori, fish-shaped wind-socks that are traditionally hung outside of Japanese homes during this holiday.
May 12 - Learn about Indian culture and make your own mandala.
May 19 - We will be making Vietnamese-style moon lutes and drums and (if weather provides) having our own outdoor concert.
Best for ages 6 - 12.
