Author Talk : L. Peat O'Neil

Author, traveler, and adventurer L. Peat O’Neil will discuss her book, Pyrenees Pilgrimage: Walking Across France, about her solo walk from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea through the Pyrenees.

A Washington native, O’Neil worked for the Washington Post for twenty years. Her other books include In Search of Adventure: A Wild Travel Anthology, about her adventures in Kamchatka, Siberia; Travel Writing: See the World. Sell the Story; and Travel Writing, A Guide to Research, Writing and Selling. Her travel sketchbooks have been featured in the National Museum of Women in the Arts exhibit Intimate Journeys—Artists Sketchbooks. She also teaches writing at the Writer’s Center in Bethesda, at the Hill Center, and online for UCLA.

Copies of Pyrenees Pilgrimage: Walking Across France will be available for purchase and signing after the talk.
