This year, DC Public Library is teaming up with The Washington Nationals. All kids and teens who reach their summer reading goal earn two tickets to catch a Nationals baseball game. Learn more about summer reading

Summer Movie Sing-A-Long Series
Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. Starts June 26

Science in the Summer 
August 4-7, 1:30 p.m.: Grades 2-3 and 3:00 p.m.: Grades 4-6
A four-day bio-science course sponsored by GSK, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Space is limited. Required registration starts June 1. Learn more here
 
A Book That Shaped Me Writing Contest
The 2014 Library of Congress /National Book Festival Summer Writing Contest, A Book That Shaped Me, runs through August 11 and encourages rising 5th and 6th graders to reflect on a book that has made a personal impact on their lives. Learn more here

Baby Lap Time (Non-walkers)
Wednesdays 11 a.m.

Wonderful Ones & Twos (Walkers to 2 years)
Wednesdays 12 p.m. and Fridays 11:30 a.m.
A fun, interactive story time that encourages early language and literacy skills through stories, songs, and rhymes. Registration is required each week. Siblings and nanny share buddies are welcome! Preschool Story Time (Ages 3-5 years)
Wednesdays 4 p.m. and Fridays 10:30 a.m. 
This story time helps children with literacy skills through reading stories, singing songs, learning new rhymes and honing visual literacy skills. 
 
Pajama Story Time (All ages)
Wednesdays 7 p.m.
This is a drop-in story time.
 
Family Story Time (All ages)
Saturdays 10:30 a.m. 
Start off your weekend with a family story time filled with songs, rhymes, and good books.
 
Story Break (All ages)
Tuesdays 10 a.m. and Thursdays 2 p.m.
A short story time: a couple books, a couple songs. A nice break!
