AccessibilityDC Meet-up

AccessibilityDC Meet-up

AccessibilityDC is a monthly meet-up on the third Tuesday of every month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Room 215, Center for Accessibility at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.

This meeting is a chance for people who are interested in Accessibility to get together and share information.  Web Developers who are interested in Web Accessibility and Adaptive Technology Users who have a daily experience of accessibility issues are all welcome to attend.

The AccessibilityDC meetup was initiated by the Accessibility Camp DC 2009 unconference: (  A recap of that event is here: (  Slides from the event are posted here: (

Please make sure to register to attend the Accessibility DC meet-up so we know how many people are attending.  A link to registration for each month can be found at

Talk Ideas
We are always looking for someone to lead a discussion or presentation about anything accessibility related for the group. Please contact with any talk ideas you would be willing to do.

The Agenda usually looks something like this:

6:45 p.m.-8:15 p.m. - Discussion and Demos.  An example would be "What you need to know to use JAWS for testing and occasional use."
