Legal Services: Dad Has Rights, Too
Published on Friday, June 13, 2014 - 1:53pm
A father's rights are essentially the same as a mother's but sometimes men have difficulty exercising all their parental rights.
Disputes over paternity, child support and custody can interfere with a dad's ability to play a full role in his children's life.
Family law attorneys from Neighborhood Legal Services Program will explain how to file for custody or visitation, when to seek to modify a child support order and how to establish paternity in the District of Columbia. You will also learn about the free, legal help available to low-income dads who need help with family law cases in the District of Columbia.
