Teen Henna Workshop Series
Published on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 - 12:20pm
Henna is a form of natural beautification which dates back to Quranic times in the Middle East. Henna is currently popular in cultures around the world from Africa to India, and now at Chevy Chase Library!
Led by our own Teen of Distinction Kareema, teens can learn about the traditional culture of henna as well as how to apply henna to their own hands. Henna is thought to bring joy, togetherness and natural beauty — the perfect way to celebrate your summer!
The workshop series will be held on Tuesday afternoons 2 - 4pm. Teens can earn the Get Crafty badge as a part of their summer reading program.
