UNCENSORED: The Art Exhibition

UNCENSORED: The Art Exhibition is a temporary public art event at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in celebration of Banned Books Week and the freedom to read, express and create. The Great Hall will transform into a gallery, showcasing works of art by local D.C. artists pertaining to the theme of censorship. In addition to the Great Hall, the exhibition space will include the large entryway windows and parts of the second floor. The art will be unveiled at UNCENSORED: The Preview Party on Friday, September 19, and remain on display until October 15.

The artwork on display will constitute paintings, installations, performance art and video projections. Participating artists include:
