Celebrate Women’s History Month with Women’s National Book Association

The DC Public Library celebrates Women’s History Month with a presentation by the Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library’s Great Hall, on March 26, 2010 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is a brown bag lunch where five acclaimed authors will read from their books. Participants will hear poetry and prose readings from WNBA National President Joan Gelfand, author of A Dreamer’s Guide to Cities and Streams; former chapter President Carla Danziger, author of Hidden Falls; Dr. Liliane Willens, author of Stateless in Shanghai; Roberta Beary, 2008 winner of the Kanterman Merit Book Award and author of The Unworn Necklace; and Ann McLaughlin, author of five novels, with a sixth novel, Leaving Bayberry House to be released in Spring 2010.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library is located at 901 G St. N.W., near the Metro Center and Gallery Place Metro stations.
