Kickoff Party: Splash into Reading!

On Saturday, June 5, Chevy Chase Library had its Summer Reading Kickoff! 31 children registered for the summer reading program, and 94 parents and children joined in the festivities.
There was a duck pond for fishing, a pool to splash in, water balloons, and a dry pool filled with balls for those who did not want to get wet. The favorite activity involved the Foam Water Shooters, and many people getting wet. The Friends of the Library joined in the fun and moved part of their book sale outside.
