Touch the Invisible Sky

Touch gorgeous images of galaxies in tactile displays for the blind and visually impaired at the DC Public Library. Five large-scale tactile images with Braille captions, accompanied by eight visual images, will be on exhibit from July 18 through mid-September at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. Celebrating the International Year of Astronomy 2009, the images are a part of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory's "From the Earth to the Universe" project on tour with support from NASA.
