Please join the Kitchen Table Book Group on Saturday, July 31, at 1 p.m. as we discuss the novel Sacred Hunger by Barry Unsworth. This novel follows the crew of a slave trade ship during the 18th century. The novel provides a historical reference as to what life was like for the ship crew and the slaves during this period. Barry Unsworth, through his novel, defines the meaning of his title through the lives of his characters.
Join us on Saturday, August 28, at 1 p.m., as we discuss Dava Sobel's Galileo's Daughter: A Historical Memoir of Science, Faith, and Love. Please remember that we have multiple copies of every Kitchen Table Book Group at the Southwest Neighborhood Library.
