Baby/Toddler Story Time

Ages Birth to Three

All parents, teachers, nannies, and childcare providers are welcome to come to the Washington Highlands library every Monday at 10:30 a.m.  Come and enjoy our summer reading baby/toddler story time program.  Along with our regular summer entertainment, we will share some reading activities of our Sing Talk and Read (STAR) Program.

This program introduces literacy to children through the use of book sharing with parents, teachers, librarians and childcare providers.  The STAR program is about sharing the six early literacy skills that prepares children to be ready to learn by the time they start school. Feel free to join in on learning about the next early literacy skill-Print Awareness. You will learn how to teach your baby/toddler that print has meaning, how to handle books, and how print is all around us.
