It is impossible to tell what impact today's Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act will have on the presidential election. But it is not too early to say what the ruling means for patients and providers. Bringing this issue to the Supreme Court has never really been about health care, but rather about politics. Hopefully, the debate and focus can now shift to what the Affordable Care Act will actually mean to employers, health care providers, insurers and consumers.
