The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms with outfielder Manny Ramirez, the team announced Wednesday.

Ramirez had been spending the 2013 season playing with the EDA Rhinos of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. He left the team on June 20 after hitting .352 with eight home runs (including the occasional moon shot).

The Yankees' game against the Indians Thursday night was postponed because of rain.

The game was initially scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. but was pushed back to 8:30 p.m. The game was officially postponed about a half hour later.

It is the second straight game that was rained out. The Yankees and Indians were rained out Wednesday night as well.

The Yankees have cut backup first baseman/outfielder Juan Rivera, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.

Rivera said he was told that he was cut so that the Yankees could hold on to outfielder Ben Francisco and first baseman Lyle Overbay. Both Francisco and Overbay were signed during the middle of spring training.
