Are you a job seeker or a recently hired employee?  Are you having difficulties getting or keeping a job?  Come to one of these Jobseeker Clinics and meet with an attorney from Neighborhood Legal Services Program (NLSP) to find out if you have a barrier to employment that a lawyer may be able to help you resolve. You can get information about issues such as criminal record sealing, credit reports, background checks, obtaining driving and professional licenses, resolving back child support arrearages, wage theft, and other issues.

Learn to use the basic features of Web-based email and the significant function of attaching a document, such as your résumé, to your email transmission. HTML 5 and CSS

Get a basic, hands-on overview of the HTML 5 and the CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) programming languages and discover their inter-related capacity to produce dynamic web pages. Seats will be filled on a first-come, space-available basis. Instructor: T. Learn the latest HTML standard (HTML 5) and how to engage its enhanced capability to deliver multimedia, graphics and other rich content in the creation of Web pages. Resume Writing and Cover Letter Workshop and Lab

This workshop will feature how to maximize the use of Microsoft Word résumé templates to create a dynamic résumé that sets yours apart from the thousands received by an employer.  Several websites will be explored to expand your knowledge and effective use of keywords and action verbs, with an emphasis on why both are important to your résumé construction.

Internet Job Seeking 101

Learn to use online job boards and job search engines to find the right job for you. Discover where you can build your résumé online. Learn the steps to an effective job search and the organizational tools to help you stay on top of your job-seeking process. Seats are filled on a first-come, space available basis. Instructor: N.
