Resume Writing and Cover Letter Workshop and Lab

This workshop will feature how to maximize the use of Microsoft Word résumé templates to create a dynamic résumé that sets yours apart from the thousands received by an employer.  Several websites will be explored to expand your knowledge and effective use of keywords and action verbs, with an emphasis on why both are important to your résumé construction.

Job Seekers Drop-In Clinic

Need help with your job search? Come to the Job Seekers Drop-In Clinic where you will receive individualized assistance with the following job-seeking tasks:     Creating an email account;     Establishing a job board account;     Building your résumé;     Conducting online job searches; and     Completing online job applications.The clinic will run from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Computer Lab, Room 311.Questions? Tech Tuesdays

Come by The Southeast Neighborhood Library for lessons in a variety of popular tech tools that are being used today. A librarian will be on hand to demonstrate the various functions of these tools and answer any questions you may have. The classes will be around an hour long and there will be a few laptops available for use. Feel free to bring your own laptop to the class. All classes will start at 2:00 p.m in the meeting room on the lower level of the library. 

Teen Resume Workshop

Computer Crash Course

These are workshops designed to teach the basic skills of computer use. Classes are designed for people who have limited or no computer skills.  Over the course of the sessions, participants will gain comfort with computers, gain experience using the keyboard and mouse, and develop the ability to easily find, store, and produce documents such as Word documents.
