50th Anniversary Balloons

Countdown to the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Palisades Library on November 15!

The Palisades Library will celebrate 50 years at the V St NW location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Library Director Richard Reyes-Gavilan will lead a keynote address beginning at 1:30 p.m. A special day of events is planned including technology workshops, local bands, and a puppet show!  See a 3-D printer in action and meet local community groups!  The day's events have been generously supported by the Friends of Palisades Library.

Chevy Chase Library's "Metamorphosis" lecture and discussion series will continue on July 21 at 6 p.m. We will be discussing Orlando by Virginia Woolf. Our guest lecturer for this session will be Roberta Rubenstein, professor of literature at American University.

Friends of the Shaw Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Shaw Library Book sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Books, DVDs, and CDs will be for sale. Prices are $0.25 to $1.00 or by the bag. FREE BOOKS also available. You don't want to miss it! Proceeds will help fund Shaw Library programs.
