50th Anniversary Balloons

Countdown to the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Palisades Library on November 15!

The Palisades Library will celebrate 50 years at the V St NW location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Library Director Richard Reyes-Gavilan will lead a keynote address beginning at 1:30 p.m. A special day of events is planned including technology workshops, local bands, and a puppet show!  See a 3-D printer in action and meet local community groups!  The day's events have been generously supported by the Friends of Palisades Library.

Spring Break Maker Monday

Kids 6 and up are invited to make exciting creations -- we've got the supplies, you bring the imagination! The fun happens in the basement program room.

Tuesday Crafts

Join us every Tuesday in May for a themed craft! These crafts are appropriate for children ages 5-12.

Graphic Novel Book Club

Join us for Graphic Novel Book Club to talk about Princeless by Jeremy Whitley.   We'll have a snack related to the book during our discussion and a craft project that ties in with the story. 

Happy Mother's Day

We will celebrate Mom by hearing stories and poems about moms, and children will make a special gift. This program is for ages 4 and up.

Celebrate Earth Day in style! Create and decorate your own cuff bracelet using recyclable materials such as paper towel rolls, colorful cardboard, bottle caps and tabs, magazines, and more.

Sunday Crafts

Please join us every Sunday at the Palisades Library for crafts in the Children's Room! All ages are welcome and crafts will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Let's have fun crafting at the library!


Join us for Eggstravaganza!   A celebration of eggs and spring.  We will decorate eggs, play games and watch a film.   This program is appropriate for children of all ages.

Family Craft: Peeps Dioramas

Come and make springtime dioramas with marshmallow peeps! This program is appropriate for children of all ages and families.
