50th Anniversary Balloons

Countdown to the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Palisades Library on November 15!

The Palisades Library will celebrate 50 years at the V St NW location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Library Director Richard Reyes-Gavilan will lead a keynote address beginning at 1:30 p.m. A special day of events is planned including technology workshops, local bands, and a puppet show!  See a 3-D printer in action and meet local community groups!  The day's events have been generously supported by the Friends of Palisades Library.

Tuesday morning computer classes at Southwest Library

You are cordially invited to attend the Tuesday morning computer classes at Southwest Library.  Each class focuses on a different computer related topic.  Session begin at 10 a.m. and end at 12 noon.  August classes include Introduction to Powerpoint (Aug. 4), PC Basics (Aug. 18) and Introduction to the World Wide Web (Aug. 25).  Please note that class will not be held on Tuesday, Aug 18.

3-D printed bracelets

Design a Bracelet for 3-D Printing

In this beginner's-level class, you will learn how to design your own bracelet using a free 3-D design program called TinkerCAD. Later, you can submit your designs and have them printed on MLK's 3-D printer. Bringing a laptop to this class is recommended, but not required.
