Art Attack at the National Portrait Gallery

Join us on a field trip to the National Portrait Gallery! We will spend time visiting "The Struggle for Justice” exhibit, which showcases major cultural and political figures, from 19th Century historical figures to contemporary leaders, who struggled to achieve civil rights for disenfranchised or marginalized groups.   This exhibit will be our inspiration as we sketch these figures and even  explore the art of self portraiture. On August 27, we will meet back at Teen Space of MLK Library and sketch our self-portraits.

Books & Beats

Take a break on the loggia for lunch this Friday! Join DCPL staff outside for Books and Beats, our weekly music program outside. Sign up for Summer Reading, check out books from the Uni, or simply sit and eat your lunch while listening to playlists curated by Freegal!
