Come Write-In: NaNoWriMo

Come Write-In every Wednesday in November at the Shepherd Park Library. We'll provide a quiet space for you to work on churning out those words for National Novel Writing Month. We'll also have word and picture prompts for when you need a little inspiration.

Carroll Gibbs Book Signing

Local author, lecturer, and Historian C.R. Gibbs will give brief excerpts from his works. He will discuss his acclaimed work, Bright, Copper and Gold. A book signing will follow.Mr. Gibbs is the author The Friends of Frederick Douglass, Black Inventors, Black Explorers, Bright, Copper and Gold, and coauthor of Black Georgetown Remembered.


We will show you how to access tutor.com to get help with your homework, or the GED.We will do a live demonstration online, so bring your homework problems.This service is free to all DC Public Library cardholders, and we encourage you take advantage this opportunity.
