Children's Writing Workshop

Join us for a children's writing workshop led by a published author! Kids will play a fun writing game, creating art to inspire each other's short stories, while learning about character, want, and obstacle. We will also do a simple, fun poetry exercise. Larger-Than-Life Games

Children ages 6-12 are invited to join us in playing a life-sized board game throughout the Children's Room.   After the game, we'll watch a movie about a video game character who goes on a journey to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero.  View trailer here. Poetry comes to the Georgetown Library every Tuesday this month! Each week, we'll have a different theme and activity to help you create interesting poetry to take home. April 7: Haiku and Brush Painting April 14: Poetry and Apps April 21: Found Poetry April 28: Rhyme Like a Champ This program is recommended for 7- to 12-year-olds.
