Come code with friends at the library. Learn to code for art, animation, and game design. We will focus on scratch and python to start, but feel welcome to show off any of your own projects in other languages. Each session will consist of a lesson and open coding time. Ages 8 and older.

Play Dough Play Day

Children ages 2.5 - 4 years old will LOVE squishing, kneading and creating new things with dough. Ms. Tea will follow a simple non-toxic recipe that requires no cooking, and provide other resources and household items as dough modeling tools to prompt creative thinking/exploration. Don't forget to celebrate National Play Dough Day on September 16th!

DC Shorts Film Festival Family Screenings

The DC Shorts Film Festival brings the best films under 20 minutes from around the globe to enthusiastic audiences throughout Washington, D.C. Join us for a special FREE Family Showcase on Saturday, Sept. 12 at eight different DC Public Library locations around the city. This showcase runs approximately 50 minutes and the films are appropriate for children ages 8 and older.
