826DC provides D.C. students ages 6-18 with free one-on-one homework help for all subject areas in an after-school tutoring program. With the support of volunteer tutors, students focus first on their homework, complete required reading their teachers assign and participate in creative writing activities. After-School Tutoring will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the large meeting room on the first floor. The program will run from September 15th through October 29th.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Join us for our fourth annual stuffed animal sleepover! Children can come to the library in their pajamas and bring a stuffed animal. Their plush pals will spend the night in the library and have lots of fun. Each child will make a keepsake album, which will hold photos of the stuffed animals' adventures. For children birth-6 years old.

Play Dough Play Day

Children ages 2 and 1/2 to 4 years old will love squishing, kneading and creating new things with dough. Ms. Tea will follow a simple non-toxic recipe that requires no cooking, and provide other resources and household items as dough modeling tools to prompt creative thinking and exploration. Don't forget to celebrate National Play Dough Day on September 16!
