I Spy: Patterns and Puzzles for Teens, Tweens & Young Children

Every Tuesday after school, join the teens, tweens, and young children who test their visual, spatial, mathematical, and logical acumen, using mandalas; logical geometric and pictorial puzzles; LEGO; wooden blocks; and more.  I Spy Hours: 3:00-5:00 p.m.NOTE: Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied and actively supervised by a caregiver aged 13 years and older.

Pride Celebration: Rainbow Scavenger Hunt & Craft

Use your detective skills in the children’s room on a scavenger hunt to find a heart in every color of the rainbow. After you have collected your hearts, get crafty and create colorful crowns of hearts. A librarian will read inclusive stories that celebrate nontraditional families. Ages 0-12.

Summer Crafts

Join us every Friday this summer in August to have some fun creating cool arts while staying away from the heat. This program is for children of all ages. Children under 3 will need adult assistance. No need to bring anything except your creativity. Supplies will be provided and the children will be able to take home what they created. Come and join the fun
French Music Time

French Music Time

French Music Time Children of all ages will have the opportunity to play musical instruments, sing along with popular and traditional French songs, dance to their favorite music, and learn the alphabet and how to count. This program is all about rhythm and speech stimuli that allow children to enjoy the music; memorize songs and practice their French and maybe become little musicians in the process. This French music time will replace French story time every Thursdays at 4.00pm during the month of August.

Puzzles & Board Games

All programs are free and open to the public. For age 6-12

Feature movie will be kids' choice. Three movie options will be available for selection. All programs are free and open to the public. For ages 6-12.

Bubbles Mania

Learn how to make homemade bubbles at the Dorothy I. Height Library. All programs are free and open to the public. For age 5-10.

Harry Potter Crafts & Movie

Join us for Harry Potter Night at the library in celebration of Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling's birthdays!  Get in the Hogwarts spirit by dressing as your favorite character.

Kids Club: Summer Solstice

Summertime and the sun!  Join us as we learn about the sun and eclipses with hands-on activities, then celebrate the longest day of the year by building the longest paper chain and bridge we can!
