End of Summer Reading Party

Join us for the End Summer Reading Party. We will have games, crafts, ice cream, snacks and water balloons. And if you are in the League of Extraordinary Readers and you have read more than either Ms. Liz, Ms. Stacy, Mrs. Jess or Ms. Ruth, it is finally time for you to pelt us with water balloons!

It's My Body! Art and Movement Workshop

This workshop complements DCRCC's Good Touch Bad Touch curriculum. It is designed to create a shared learning experience between adults and youth. It incorporates theater, art, and games to explore the concepts of expression, communication, and boundaries.

K-12 Tutoring Program at William O. Lockridge/Bellevue Library

The William O. Lockridge/ Bellevue Library is partnering with A-STEP (After-School Tutoring and Enrichment Program) to provide a free after-school tutoring program for students in grades K-12. Sessions will be every Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.  Tutors will provide help in reading, mathematics, writing and the sciences while also improving proficiency in using technology and acquiring life skills for succeeding in their academic goals.  We cannot wait to learn with you!

It's Wizard Week at Palisades Library! In celebration of J.K. Rowling's and Harry Potter's birthdays, join us for wizard-themed crafts! Don't forget to drop in for our screening of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Thursday, July 30.

Mini Maker

Join the library staff as we encourage you to create, experiment, and design.  On selected days between July 6 and Aug. 14, The Parklands-Turner Neighborhood Library will host fun and exciting experiments and projects. Children and teens ages 8 to 16 should arrive in the children's room 3:30-5:30 p.m to participate.
