Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse Day

Mickey Mouse was born on this day in 1928, appearing in the first cartoon talking picture called "Steamboat Willie" in a New York theater. To celebrate his 86th birthday, Rosedale is having a special Mickey Mouse Day! Children will enjoy a Mickey-themed story time, including Elle D. Risco's Mickey's Birthday, as well as make their own Mickey (or Minnie!) mouse ears to take home.

Did you know that there are almost 22 million miltary veterans living in the United States today? That's a lot!  Veterans Day, which is held every year on Nov. 11, is a special day during which people remember and honor people who served in the armed forces, like the Navy or the Air Force.
Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Story Time and Craft
