Find out just how many library lovers really like to bike as we celebrate National Bike Month in May 2015! A special bike-to-story time program is planned in Northeast DC and in Northwest DC, at the beginning and ending of the month. Join us on:
Saturday, May 2, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.: Bicyclists of all ages will meet at Southeast Neighborhood Library by 10 a.m. for a ride to Northeast Neighborhood Library, where we will join other Ward 6 families and enjoy an outdoor celebration with stories, crafts and snacks!
We’ll be having a special Family Story Time celebrating Dia!, AKA Children’s Day, AKA Day of the Book. Listen to stories celebrating our differences and our love of reading, sing some songs.
Afterwards, create a "mini-you" reading your favorite book.

We're celebrating Cinco de Mayo and the culmination of our Dia de Los Ninos festivities with an afternoon of bilingual stories and crafts. Break goodies out of our library-made piñata, listen to fun music, and make luchador masks to take home!
Visit the Parklands Turner Neighborhood Library every Tuesday morning for stories, finger plays, songs and rhymes, all led by the children's librarian.
Story time helps children practice and learn early literacy skills in a fun playful setting, and this is a terrific time for parents, guardians and babysitters to select some outstanding materials to check-out and take home
