Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Join us for our fourth annual stuffed animal sleepover! Children can come to the library in their pajamas and bring a stuffed animal. Their plush pals will spend the night in the library and have lots of fun. Each child will make a keepsake album, which will hold photos of the stuffed animals' adventures. For children birth-6 years old.

You and your favorite stuffed animals are invited to come have a good time with us at the library. Your stuffed animals will get the opportunity to see what happens in our library after it closes! So bring your stuffed animal, wear your pajamas and come prepared to have some fun!

Spooky Story Time

Ready for Halloween? Children can enjoy some spooky stories and songs! For ages 4 and up. 

Dinosaur Story Time

Inspired by Fossil Appreciation Day, Rosedale will have a dinosaur-themed story time and craft. For ages 4 and up. 

Hispanic Heritage Story time

For Hispanic Heritage Month, children will get a special story time that includes books created by Latino authors and illustrators.

Baby and Toddler Story Time

These 20-30 minute story times are full of books, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for children birth to two years old. Our Baby and Toddler Story Time is a great way to introduce your child to language skills in a positive and fun environment. With slightly more activity and movement than our lap times, children and their grownups are encouraged engage with the books and songs and to actively participate in the program. 

Halloween Celebration

Happy Halloween! Join us in the Children's Room of the Northeast Library for a day of stories, crafts, and tasty treats! Spooky Storytime: 10:30-11 a.m. Creepy Crafts: 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Trick or Treat: 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Be sure to come in costume!

Summer Reading Finale Party

Enjoy the last few weeks of summer with a special summer reading finale party for kids and teens!   1:30 p.m. – Superhero Story Time – Children can listen to a special superhero-themed story time and discuss their favorite superheroes and what powers they would want as superheroes. Coloring pages will also be provided. 2-4 p.m. – Beats – Teens will get to participate in a digital music workshop that gives participants the opportunity to create music together. Appropriate for ages 9-19.

American Sign Language (ASL) Story Time!

Janice Rosen, Deaf Services Librarian, will sign stories in American Sign Language (ASL).   Therapy dogs from People Animals Love (PAL) will join the story time fun.    Story-related activities will follow.
