We will meet at the Petworth Community Market located near Upshur Street NW and 9th Street NW, about a block from the Petworth Library.
Come learn the skills your children need to be ready to learn to read. We'll share tips on how to promote early literacy at home in this interactive presentation in the Children's Room on the Second Floor of the library.
Your children are welcome: Every child will receive a free book.

Saturday, May 2, 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Bicyclists of all ages will meet at Southeast Neighborhood Library by 10 a.m. for a ride to Northeast Neighborhood Library, where we will join other Ward 6 families and enjoy an outdoor celebration with stories, crafts and snacks!
It's picnic time for teddy bears, and their friends! Bring a blanket to sit on, and your teddy bear or other stuffed animal friend.
We will sit on the front lawn to enjoy stories, songs, and poems about teddy bears.
This program is for children from birth to age 4.
