Poem in Your Pocket Night

In celebration of Poem in Your Pocket Day, Palisades Branch will host a night of poetry reading for all ages, where members of the audience become the readers!

Teen Book Club

Come discuss the book Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. Published in 1975,Tuck Everlasting follows the story of Winnie Foster and her discovery of a family of immortals. We will meet in the board room on the second floor until 7 p.m.

Petworth Anime Club

The P.E.T. Clique Anime Club gives teens a place to gather, watch, and talk about Japanese animation. Films are shown in Japanese with English subtitles and include classics as well as new releases.  Come check out the latest anime shows and anime/manga magazines or come and share your own fan fiction (writing) and fan art (drawing).  

Teen Book Club: Black History Month

Are you a teen who loves to read?Grab any book this month that relates to African American history and civil rights and come chat about it Wednesday afternoon in the Teen Space!Library staff will have some favorites out on display in the Teen Space and you can always ask for suggestions at the Information Desk.

Come to the Teen Space to make your own mockingjay pin and talk about The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. We'll start on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m.We'll also talk about The Hunger Games movie being screened upstairs on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at at 5:30 p.m.
