Love and Summer: A Novel by William Trevor

Love and Summer: A Novel by William Trevor

William Trevor in Love and  Summer: A Novel depicts the imaginary Irish town of Rathmoye in the mid-twentieth century. We first meet the townspeople at a funeral. The fool, Orpen Wren, was once a librarian at an Anglo-English family's home in the town. He carries the past with him, and will play a decisive if inadvertent role in the conclusion of the book.
