Kids' Book Club

This month, we're reading Love that Dog by Sharon Creech. At our meeting, we'll enjoy discussion, activities, and snacks. Please join us for this kid-driven (though librarian-moderated) book club! Copies of the book will be available for checkout at the Information Desk. Ages 7-12.

Tween Book Club: 'The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm'

This month we are reading The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm by Nancy Farmer. In the year 2194 in Zimbabwe, General Matsika's three children are kidnapped and put to work in a plastic mine, while three mutant detectives use their special powers to search for them.

Tween Book Club: 'The Fourteenth Goldfish'

This month we are reading The Fourteenth Goldfish by Jennifer Holm. Ellie's scientist grandfather has discovered a way to reverse aging, and consequently has turned into a teenager--which makes for complicated relationships when he moves in with Ellie and her mother, his daughter. As an extra special treat, one lucky ready will read a copy of the book signed by the author!

Tween Book Club: 'Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library'

This month we are reading Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein. Twelve-year-old Kyle gets to stay overnight in the new town library, designed by his hero (the famous gamemaker Luigi Lemoncello), with other students but finds that come morning he must work with friends to solve puzzles in order to escape.
