It Gets Better Project

Celebrate Pride Month by watching and/or creating your own “It Gets Better” video. The It Gets Better Project was created to show lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth that it does get better, and to inspire the changes needed to make it better for them. You don’t have to identify as LGBTQ to participate.   Attend this program to earn the Film Fanatic or the Social Superhero badge.

Summer Reading Kickoff

Start your summer off by signing up for DC Public Library's Summer Reading Program! Swing by the Petworth Neighborhood Library for this fun event and enjoy a day of laughter and sunshine.   At 10:30, we’ll have a special hour long story-time on the lawn with parachute games. Enjoy more festivities from 12-4 p.m.; we’ll have crafts, a movie, an animation workshop, and more!
