Dear Neighbors,

The long awaited date for the discussion of the exciting and informative novel The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Dinaw Mengestu, is Monday, April 18, at Shepherd Park Library.

Join us, and enjoy the interesting story of Stephanos' isolated life in Washington, D.C., and the so much talked about "America wonder." Being a member of Black Voices Book Club comes with benefits. This great novel is about Sepha Stephanos, who fled the Ethiopean Revolution 17 years ago for a new start in the United States. He runs a failing grocery store in a poor African-American section of Washington, D.C.

Watch out for the next novel the club is discussing on May 16.
