The Northwest One Library closed at 5 p.m., today, Monday, July 15 due to high temperatures in the building. The Takoma Park Library closed at 6 p.m., today, Monday, July 15 due to a power outage in the area.

The Bellevue/William O. Lockridge Library is closed temporarily for major repairs to the HVAC system. Repairs are underway and the library will reopen on Thursday, July 18.

The DC Public Library is excited to celebrate 50 years of serving the D.C. area with a year-long campaign of giving! Each month a different gift will be made available at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library Information Desk in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the library. You are invited to come in and join the celebration! Check out a book, utilize one of the library's amazing services, attend an engaging event and build your collection of limited edition library swag, while supplies last.
