It emphasizes eyewitness accounts of historical events, editorials, popular culture, and commerce during the 19th century for America from resources such as: Christian Recorder, Colored American, Frederick Douglass's Paper, Freedom's Journal, National Era, North Star, Provincial Freeman and Weekly Advocate. Formerly named Accessible Archives.
