Service Alert

The Northwest One Library closed at 5 p.m., today, Monday, July 15 due to high temperatures in the building. The Takoma Park Library closed at 6 p.m., today, Monday, July 15 due to a power outage in the area. 


The Bellevue/William O. Lockridge Library is closed temporarily for major repairs to the HVAC system. Repairs are underway and the library will reopen on Thursday, July 18.

West End Library Closure

The West End Library will be closed from Friday, Sept. 22 - Friday, Sept. 29 to allow for necessary electrical work to replace lighting throughout the library.

Art All Night 2023

DC Art All Night is back and we can't wait to stay out late with you! Art All Night will take place on Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30. Residents can enjoy activations in all eight wards, including several DC Public Library locations!
